Hello My LSGA Family!
I am pleased with the way that you all are handling yourselves and trying to stay on top of your learning! Please continue to pace yourself, don't get burned out and try your best! Here are the top 5 from your Kahoot Challenge on Friday: 1st: Sofia 2nd: Mosiah 3rd: Zaid 4th: Keshawn 5th: Daniel S. Way to go!! Don't forget that we are still in our Moby Max class competition so the rest of this week we will be in Moby Max trying to score some points! So with that being said, start with your 5 minutes of fact fluency in Moby Max. (PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BELOW CAREFULLY!!!!) Last week you were supposed to complete a couple of assignments on positive and negative numbers. Those assignments were : 1. opposite numbers, 2. negative and positive numbers, 3. rational numbers on a number line, and 4. ordering and absolute value. Several of you completed the first two (#1 and #2), a few of you completed #4, and a few completed all four assignments. I have reviewed everyone's assignments and need you to complete #3 and #4. I reassigned #3 to you if you scored below a 75. Only 1 person is done with everything!!! Once you complete #3 and #4 you can continue to work on the other assignments in your assignments tab to score points for your class and to complete the assignments that you should have already completed! *To the few who have completed all four but I had to reassign #3, please redo #3 to get a better score and better understanding. *To the person who has completed all four already: I have assigned you some things you can work on and redo according to your scores! Plus I have rewarded all of you with some game minutes and games! EVERYONE SHOULD BE IN MOBY MAX AND HAS AT LEAST ONE THING TO DO FROM ABOVE!!!!!!

As take on another journey into digital learning, think about this: What would you do if school no longer is in session? How would you learn your studies? If you were responsible for your learning, would you hold yourself accountable? After checking the assignments from yesterday, if you didn't complete them from Monday then you need to make sure they are complete. Go to day 6 and complete and let me know when done today. If you finished those assignments, then CONGRATULATIONS!! You have been awarded game time and rewards on Moby max . Today you need to : 1. Go to Moby Max and complete your fact fluency (5 minutes) 2. Complete any old assignments in Moby Max not completed to gain points for your class competition. 3. If your assignments are complete, screenshot the screen and send me the pic on REMIND. Enjoy your day, tomorrow we will have a nearpod lesson to walk through and complete! MISS YOU FALCONS!!!! Greetings Falcons!! (PLEASE DO NOT POST COMMENTS TO THIS BLOG!!!!!!!!!) Welcome to another wonderful week of online learning. IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF ANY FOOD PLEASE SEE THIS NOTICE FROM THE DISTRICT. CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW: cobbcast.cobbk12.org/?p=32140 I am pleased to those who have done well with completing their assignments and getting them turned in once completed. I love this online learning!! This week will really test your resolve and ability to learn on your own. We will be starting a new unit and I will give you multiple resources to use to help learn this new and exciting content!! We will venture to Unit 7(our last unit) and learn about positive and negative numbers!! So put on your learning/thinking caps and let's go!!! Also in Moby max, we are starting a competition today against each class and against other classes in our building. That means every time you log into moby max and work, you are getting YOUR class points for correct answers and usage time! WE can win a party if we have the most points in our school during the contest. See contest info at below. So tell your friends in your class to hop on moby max and play and learn!! Today's assignments: 1st: You need to log into Moby max and get in at least your 5 minutes of Fact fluency to get the brain activated. Once you complete your fact fluency then go to your assignment page on Moby Max. You should see 4 assignments: Opposite Numbers, Negative and Positive Numbers, Rational Numbers on a Number Line, and Ordering and Absolute Value. You do not have to complete them all today(unless you want to) but these are the warm ups to the real assignments. They will give you direct feedback on your progress. 2nd: You have a fact fluency team game to compete in, but I wouldn't play until you have completed the first two assignments in Moby max to get the best possible score. Score better the more your classmates complete it!!! 3rd: You can go to your OFFICE 365 class notebook, and go to your handouts tab. You will find two new pages: Integers and their opposites and comparing integers. Please complete these in your notebook and just shoot me a quick email or remind to let me know you are complete. I would not do these until I have finished the first 2 assignments in moby max. YOU DO NOT NEED TO NOTIFY ME WHEN YOU COMPLETE AN INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT. IT WOULD BE BETTER IF NOTIFY ME WHEN YOU HAVE COMPLETED #2 AND #3 ABOVE THROUGH EMAIL OR REMIND! CONTEST INFO LISTED HERE:
Three classes will win a Great Spring Party! The top three contest classes that create the most points during their two-week contest win. The total points for a contest class are adjusted for the contest class size. In other words, the total points for a contest class with 20 students will be equalized so a contest class with 30 students won’t have an advantage. For the duration of the entire event, all of the students and teachers in your school will see the contest classes and the total “equalized” points earned during the contest on a school-wide leader board. The students earn points in Mathematics, Language, Science, Social Studies, Foundational Reading, Reading Skills Informational, Reading Skills Literature, Phonics and Spelling Rules, Writing Workshop, and Test Prep. Each quiz or quiz manipulative question answered correctly on the first try (in lesson topics that are passed) is worth 1,000 points. So not only can you work in Math but you can also have your scholar earn points in other subject areas parents!! Good morning Falcons!
I hope you all have had a great and productive week. Students and parents, please make sure that if you send me a screenshot of your work, please identify what the work is for and please number!!! Some of us still put our work on scratch paper like it is not important!
