Greetings Students and Parents!!!
Quarter 1 has just finished the 4 1/2 weeks checkpoint! Each student should be able to access their grades on StudentVue (synergy) and know how to see what assignments are missing. Please double check with your student to make sure they are showing you the correct screen. **So far........ We have been working on UNIT 1 for the Math standards this year. In every child's class notebook, (physical notebook, not online!) That is standards NS.1, 2, 3, and 4. We are currently working on NS.1 and NS.4. (Dividing fractions and GCF/LCM) ***Students also have several resources that we are currently using and has had several pieces for classwork/homework. If we do not finish an assignment in class it is mandatory that they finish for homework and have ready to move on by the next class period. ***I have made sure that each student is able to access Office 365 to make sure they are able to log in and access their online class notebook. We have a lot of exercises and activities that I distribute there to help them practice and also to eliminate paper! They need to go in there and access those resources to help them in class. ***Also, my class is in the process of transforming into a flipped classroom! This means that the students are responsible for accessing the information/assignments before they come to class so they can participate in more activities rather than guided instruction. Once they complete the assignment on their end, once they get to class, the teacher and reinforcing activities help enrich and deepen the understanding for that concept. Please, Please, Please have them do their work before they come to me!!! *Feel free to reach me via email @ [email protected] if you need any further info! |
